Painting Services

•  Powerwashing: We usually wash one to two days prior to the beginning of our other prep work. We will completely powerwash your home. The powerwash allows us to remove all oil, chalk, dirt and other environmental residue on your home. This will provide for a clean surface for the new paint to bond to. We feel our powerwash adds years to the life of our paint jobs.
• Prep work Scraping: We will thoroughly hand scrape all loose, peeling, and blistering paint.
• Sanding: We will hand sand all rough areas and feather the edges where old paint layers have been scraped off.We can also power sand or strip down to bare wood. This restoration-type work is more extensive than hand sanding and can be preformed as needed.
• Primer Coating: We will apply a complete primer coat to any bare wood or metal. Troubled areas such as stains, and where there will be a dramatic color change will receive a complete primer/sealer coat as well.
• Caulking: We will remove all old, dried and failing caulk, and replace it with new caulk. We will give special attention to seams where moisture can potentially seep in. (i.e. doors, windows, corners and cracks in wood siding).
• Windows Reglaze Windows: We will remove all old, dried, and failing glaze (putty) around windowpanes. We then prime bare wood and put the new glazing in.
• Shutters, Doors and Fences: Prep as needed and then painted with accent color if desired.
• Body of House: After our extensive prep work, the house is ready for paint or stain.One to two coats of high quality finish paint are then applied as needed or as agreed upon in our contract.
• Decks Powerwashed to remove any mold, mildew, discoloration or weathered look. We hammer any popped nails and loose screws are retightened. Once prep work is complete, one to two coats of a high quality stain is then applied as needed or as agreed upon in our contract.

• Rotted Wood: Replace rotted wood as needed.
• Miscellaneous: We also offer the following services: Installation of gutters, storm windows, and storm doors, hatchway doors, and we can install new shutters.
